Hey guys! I'm Keshia and currently I'm a junior majoring in Exercise Biology. After getting my undergraduate degree I'm planning on going to medical school. I don't know what kind of doctor I want to be but I do know I would like to deal with either the brain, skin or the eyes.
As of right now I'm part of the biology club, Students for Organ Donation club and Project Linus. Im also going to start doing research in Dr. Bubulya's lab during the winter. I'm very excited about my future research because I really enjoy cell biology. For those of you who know that they like some particular aspect of science, I strongly encourage you guys to find a professor that does research in that area and get involved with their lab. There are so many research opportunities in wright state but unfortunately not a lot of students are aware of it.
A few random facts about me are: I'm from Puerto Rico so it's safe to say I'm not a big fan of the Ohio weather but then again, who is? :] In my spare time I like to play tennis, do yoga, watch movies, cook and read. The last book I read was the last book of the twilight saga. Sooo, yes I am one of those people obsessed with twilight, can't wait for the 21st of november! I also work in the freshman biology labs as a lab prep so those of you who are freshmen, you would probably see me at some point setting up the labs. I enjoy helping people whenever possible so if anyone sees me around the lab or wherever and you have questions about the college, pre-med or just school in general dont hesitate to ask. All of the members of the Deans circle are really eager to help out students because we have probably gone through the same things freshmen and sophomores will be going through eventually so, take advantage of this!
Take care
Keshia Torres
